Boat Tour Acitrezza and Acicastello

Discover the legendary Cyclops River of Acitrezza and Acicastello. A unique spot of Sicily’s coastline. While navigating you will notice many fishermen villages: Torre Archirafi, Pozzillo, S.Maria la Scala, S.Tecla, Capomulini.

But the most surprising thing is the sudden change of the landscape. The coastline rises in a dark and lunar scenery, due to millions years of lava eruptions from Volcano Etna, which emerged from the sea creating this nature wonder. We approach to the Marine protected area of I Faraglioni di Acitrezza.

Many legends tell the history of this Cyclops living on Etna, you can find the description of it on the Odyssey of Homer. But this is a geological phenomen due to submarine eruptions occured millions years ago.

It’s interesting to swim and snorkel in this total black scenery. We also notice the carved castle of Aci Castello dated from middle ages which close the area before to arrive to Catania.
